A Spa Gift Certificate is a great gift Idea!
If you where wondering if a gift certificate would be a good gift idea, the answer is YES, and here’s why.
1. Gift Certificates are very flexible! They can be purchased for any service, series, package, or dollar amount.
2. Gift Certificates are an easy purchase! You can go to simplyyourspa.com and purchase gift certificates ONLINE instantly! They can then be printed or emailed directly to the recipient. You can also purchase them right on our FACEBOOK page at www.facebook.com/simplyyourspacharleston or come to the spa at 1901 Ashley River Rd. You can even call us, and order over the phone at 843-556-2878
3. If you like, you can add the gratuity to the gift certificate, so you guest doesn’t have to worry about it.
4. If the recipient would like to, they can use part of a gift certificate during a visit, and save part for another visit.
5. If you purchase a gift certificate for a specific service and your guest would like to add services, no problem! If thy prefer another service, we can convert their gift certificate to an equivalent dollar amount, and they can get what they want. This does not apply to series.
6. Who would like a spa gift certificate? Almost everyone.....men and women benefit from the benefits of massage, skin care and nail care. What age group? Teenagers and up. Teenagers are at the perfect age to start learning how to take care of their skin; even your grandparents will enjoy and benefit from our services. Some of the older population need foot/pedicure care...we can help them take care of themselves.

Interested in planning a Spa Bridal Party? Here are some common questions:
1. What services can a day spa provide a bride and groom planning for their wedding?
Prior to a wedding day spas are able to provide beauty services to get them ready for the big day i.e. skin care/facial services, waxing services, manicure/pedicure, spray tan and body services to ensure soft smooth skin. They are also able to provide relaxation services to help de-stress i.e. massage.
Some days spas, such as Simply Your Spa in Charleston, SC, are able to provide rooms and services for groups who are interested in planning Bachelorette parties, or wedding party spa days for services the day before the wedding.
Day Spa are also a a great place to find wedding gifts for the bride and groom. Treat them to a Couples Massage or Couples Pedicures. A great date night gift for the new couple.
2. What considerations should be taken when planning a spa bachelorette party?
There are many things to take into considerations when planning a spa party. Destination is the number one concern. Are you planning a spa party in your local neighborhood or are you planning a destination wedding/bachelorette weekend. Simply Your Spa for example, is a great spa destination for those getting away for a weekend.
Other considerations are the number of guests that will be in your party. Can the day spa handle that many guests at a time. To they have a room available for the group to use that will not interrupt other services. Simply Your Spa has a large room available to groups, free of charge. The room is equipments with a couch and chairs. For groups serving food they have tables available as well as additional folding chairs.
Groups should inquire if they are able to bring their own food/beverages or if the day spa provides assistance with catering needs. Day spas may require a group contract for parties and for food services.
3. What services do you recommend to brides prior to their wedding day?
There are two different recommendations based on when the wedding is. We recommend that brides develop a beauty regimen leading up to the wedding to include the following:
1. Skin care regimen - Start facials and professional skin care products 6 months prior to make sure the skin is clear.
2. Begin waxing regimen 6 months prior to include eyebrow, lip wax, underarm, bikini/Brazilian, and leg waxing especially if honeymooning in a tropical location where swimsuits will be worn.
3. Begin regular manicure services i.e. Shellac manicures so that nails can grow out, healthy and strong.
4. Spray tan - If interested make sure to receive a ‘practice spray tan’ a couple weeks prior to wedding to ensure that you like the way it looks, like to products and like the way it was applied.
4. What services should a bride receive immediately prior to a wedding.
a. Manicure - Day prior to wedding. Request French polish if that is preferred. Shellac manicure so that manicure remains nearly perfect throughout the wedding and honeymoon.
b. Pedicure - Day prior to wedding to ensure polish remains nice throughout wedding.
c. Body scrub - Day prior to wedding to ensure soft skin as it sloughs off dead skin cells.
e. Massage: treat yourself to a 60 minute massage the week prior to the wedding to help you relax and de-stress.
f. Spray tan - Day before the wedding ONLY if you have received practice spray tans prior.
5. Are there any spa services you do not recommend immediately prior to the wedding.
a. We recommend that you do not receive a facial or any waxing during the week of the wedding in the event you might have a breakout or reaction.
6. What services do you recommend to grooms prior to a wedding?
a. Waxing services to include eyebrow grooming. There will be lots of photos taken. Grooms should be aware if they have a mono-brow to get them groomed prior to the wedding.
b. Any other waxing services that the groom maybe interested in i.e. chest/back waxing
c. A gentleman’s facial a week before the wedding to make sure their skin if clear and healthy.
d. Massage : to de-stress and relax prior.
7. What type of nail care services to you recommend to Brides and their bridesmaids?
a. Shellac manicure as the manicure will be perfect for two weeks, right thru the honeymoon.
8. What is the most popular nail color for brides?
a. French
b. Varies depending on style of wedding: Traditional weddings tend to like lighter shades of neutrals and pinks, holiday weddings at Christmas tend to like more red shades. And many other shades.
9. What is best prior to a wedding, tanning beds or spray tan?
There are many health dangers associated with tanning beds however some think the color is better. Brides and bridesmaids may want to consider a spray tan. Be sure to ask what brand of spray tan formula they use and have a couple test runs with the same therapist who will do your spray tan the day prior to the wedding.
10. Do day spas offer gift ideas for brides and grooms?
a. Gift Certificates for after the wedding i.e. Couples massage and couples pedicures which will give them a great “date night” once life turns back to normal after the wedding and honeymoon
b. Massage gift certificates to help them relax and de-stress after the wedding and as they are getting use to living with someone new.
11. Is a spa party before the wedding a good idea?
We have helped plan many successful spa parties before weddings. A great place for the mother’s of the bride and groom to get together and enjoy some relaxation, great way for bridesmaids to spend time together. We have seen multi-generations come in together, to include the bride, the mother of the bride, grandmother of the bride and then nieces (flower girls). Everyone comes together and enjoys getting ready together.
Thinking about a Spa Bridal Party for the wedding party or a Bachelorette Spa Party Get-Away? Let us help. We are Charleston's Cozy Day Spa and would love to help you plan a memorable day with your family and friends prior to that big day.
